The project

In November 2008, the Royal Albert Hall will explode with the energy of 120 young people dancing to Shostakovich’s epic Symphony No10, performed live by the London Symphony Orchestra. Overture 2012 has been commissioned by Dance Umbrella and is a world premiere, marking the return to the UK of choreographer Royston Maldoom OBE whose work with young people has achieved international renown.

Part of Dance Umbrella 2008, this promises to be one of the highlights of the season.
